This is a pain. I’ll probably just drop it with my local indy  mechanic to fix.

My airbag light came on, drove it for quite a while, then replaced the sensor behind the grill, reset the battery & computer, light off. I think it was $90 or less.

Psh my work truck says the same thing, it's only been like that for two years.....

That’s good to hear!

I guess it's time I got a code reader already.

Yeah, this is my family hauler, so I'll have to actually fix it.

This didn’t show up on my code reader as the torque app only does check engine codes. I took a gamble for $90 and it paid off.

Good luck though

Your airbags may be broken but you’ve got a lot of oil pressure for hot idle

Oil pressure sensors are a common failure.

I have the same issue on mine. I’m probably going to tackle it myself. I’m trying to find out if I can use the auto hobby shop where I work. If so for $7 an hour they have lifts and supply all tools.

I’m assuming it's a bad sensor, since it reads 80 psi all the time.

Yeah, when it reads 80 all the time, prolly a bad sensor there.

That's cool! Totally worth it. I wish there was one around here. I have a bunch of little things I've been putting off, because winter.

This is probably a good assumption. That would drive me crazy

I work on a military base and some of the “perks” are offered to contractors and some aren’t. I’ve already found out I can rent a camper pretty cheaply next summer. They have a couple nice gyms we can use too. I’m having a hard time getting a straight answer as far as whether I can use the shop. I figure my best bet may be to buy some parts and see if they kick me out when I show up. I’m hopeful because it’s also time for struts on my Volt.

I know it can be a PITA on the Corvette, but I think that’s a space issue since it’s at the back of the engine. Maybe it wouldn’t be too bad on a truck...

Oh, it is driving me crazy. It started right after it got cold out, and is on my ever growing list if shit to fix whenever winter finally buggers off. At least it didn’t fail and read 0 constantly. That would drive me more nuts.

Hopefully not. I haven't looked into it yet. It's on my list of shit to deal with after winter, which keeps growing.
